Green Day e The Stooges são as únicas bandas que aparecessem duas vezes na lista dos ’50 discos mais importantes do punk rock’, escolhidos pela revista Kerrang!.
O trio liderado por Billy Joe aparece no 43º lugar com Nimrod, de 1997, e em 2º com Dookie. Já o grupo de Iggy Pop aparece em 15º e 18º com os discos Fun House e Raw Power, respectivamente.
No primeiro lugar, aparece o Sex Pistols com Never Mind the Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols, o único álbum oficial lançado por John Rotten, Sid Vicious e cia, e que traz as clássicas Anarchy in the UK e God Save the Queen.
