A primeira segunda-feira de Maio é tradicionalmente marcada pelo Met Gala, que ocorre anualmente no Metropolitan Museum of Art – The Met – em Nova York, nos Estados Unidos. Mas a edição deste ano foi postergada indefinidamente em decorrência da pandemia do coronavírus.
Só que isso não impediu os fãs de criarem sua própria festa em homenagem ao evento, que neste ano teria como tema “About Time: Fashion and Duration” (“Sobre o Tempo: Moda e Duração”, em tradução livre).
A revista Vogue, em parceria com o ator e cantor Billy Porter, lançou a hashtag #MetGalaChallenge, desafiando os seguidores a recriarem seus looks favoritos do tapete vermelho.
As roupas foram feitas em casa, muitas vezes à mão, e os resultados ficaram inacreditáveis. Esta usuária, por exemplo, recriou todos os looks usados por Lady Gaga no ano passado:

Sanja, inclusive, é uma das que está levando o desafio da Vogue a sério e recriando diversos trajes de gala com “itens recicláveis que encontra em casa”.
