Pinguins são flagrados observando paisagem de Melbourne enquanto se abraçam

Um fotógrafo australiano reconfortou seus seguidores do Instagram ao compartilhar registros antigos de dois pinguins se abraçando enquanto olhavam o horizonte de Melbourne, na Austrália. As fotos, além de incríveis, trazem uma história comovente e logo viralizaram.

O autor dos cliques, feitos em 2019, é Tobias Baumgaertner. Em seu Instagram, ele contou que os dois pinguins-azuis que protagonizam a cena ficaram juntos, olhando para o horizonte e oceano, por horas.

Tratava-se de uma fêmea idosa (o pinguim branco) que já havia perdido seu parceiro e de um macho mais novo, que aparentemente também era “viúvo”. Uma voluntária explicou ao fotógrafo que desde quando perderam seus pares, eles se encontram regularmente para olhar o horizonte e assim ficam por horas, parecendo se reconfortar.

Baumgaertner cita na publicação que passou três noites observando a colônia até conseguir tirar as fotos virais. “Entre não conseguir e não ter permissão para utilizar nenhuma luz, os pinguins se moviam continuamente, esfregando suas nadadeiras nas costas um do outro, limpando-se, foi muito difícil tirar a foto, mas tive sorte durante um momento lindo. Espero que vocês aproveitem este momento tanto quanto eu”, escreveu na legenda.

During times like this the truly lucky ones are those that can be with the person/people they love most. I captured this moment about a year ago. These two Fairy penguins poised upon a rock overlooking the Melbourne skyline were standing there for hours, flipper in flipper, watching the sparkling lights of the skyline and ocean. A volunteer approached me and told me that the white one was an elderly lady who had lost her partner and apparently so did the younger male to the left. Since then they meet regularly comforting each other and standing together for hours watching the dancing lights of the nearby city. I spend 3 full nights with this penguin colony until I was able to get this picture. Between not being able or allowed to use any lights and the tiny penguins continuously moving, rubbing their flippers on each other’s backs and cleaning one another, it was really hard to get a shot but i got lucky during one beautiful moment. As primeira imagens foram publicadas em sua conta em Março deste ano. Na última semana, o profissional compartilhou mais um clique com a seguinte mensagem:

“O jeito que esses dois companheiros se cuidavam se destacava de toda a colônia. Enquanto todos os outros pinguins estavam dormindo ou andando, esses dois pareciam estar apenas ali e aproveitando cada segundo que tinham juntos, abraçando-se com suas nadadeiras e conversando sobre coisas de pinguins. A dor os uniu. Acho que você encontra o amor quando menos espera. É um privilégio amar alguém de verdade, um paraíso quando te amam de volta.”

Pinguins Part 2. “… Love is the only game in which we win even when we lose” The way that these two lovebirds were caring for one another stood out from the entire colony. While all the other penguins were sleeping or running around, those two seemed to just stand there and enjoy every second they had together, holding each other in their flippers and talking about penguin stuff. Pain has brought them together (see PART 1). I guess sometimes you find love when you least expect it.
