O ano de Wagner Moura interpretando Pablo Escobar, em Narcos, serie da Netflix, começa a render indicações para prêmios. Ele concorre como Melhor Ator em Série de Drama no Globo de Ouro 2016 e é o único brasileiro da lista de indicados.
